 Empowering children through reading

Latest Update

Anandaya is a philanthropic organization. We believe every child deserves the right to quality education. Our vision is to see every child read with joy. In India millions of children are struggling with foundational education.

Our flagship initiative, Project "Pustakalaya" has been developed for children in government primary schools. With a combination of a vibrant library, specially designed books, teacher training in the science of reading and a perpetuity program, we believe we have developed a unique and sustainable long-term solution.

Our program has proven to be highly effective. Since 2017, it has been implemented in government schools and has significantly improved children's reading ability as well as their ability to read with comprehension and expression, and critical thinking skills. The program also enables children to rise above rote learning and foster a love for reading, thereby easing their academic process and also become lifelong learners.
